We recently completed a solar panel installation project for a new development in Prescot, Merseyside. The developer was keen to harness renewable energy solutions to reduce its carbon footprint. The project involved the installation of 42 high-efficiency 375W Trina Solar Panels across three blocks, providing electricity to help power communal areas.
The Watchfactory is the latest extra care scheme developed by the Livv Housing Group, which provides 13,000 homes across Liverpool City Region and the North West. The development opened in the summer of 2018, offering 54 meticulously designed rental apartments along with 16 bungalows, of which 6 are available for shared ownership and 10 for social rent.
After conducting a comprehensive site assessment, our in-house team proceeded with the installation which was completed on schedule, with rigorous safety and quality control measures in place. Notably, solar panels were installed across three separate blocks, consisting of 8, 10 and 24 panel solar arrays. The largest array of 24 panels was mounted on a flat roof using a Van der Valk mounting kit.
The client was delighted with the outcome of the project. The 42 Trina solar panels consistently produce clean, renewable energy, significantly reducing the dependence on the National Grid. This environmentally friendly approach not only benefits the planet but also lowers energy costs.
