Solar PV Installation for Grŵp Cynefin

We recently partnered with Grŵp Cynefin, a charitable housing association providing over 4,800 homes across North Wales, including social housing, intermediate rental options, and specialist accommodation. Our joint initiative focused on sustainability, tenant wellbeing, and long-term energy efficiency.

The project involved the installation of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems on 70 of Grŵp Cynefin’s properties. Each system was tailored to suit the individual property’s energy needs, with capacities ranging from 2kW to 4kW. These installations were designed to reduce carbon emissions and deliver financial benefits to tenants through significantly reduced electricity bills.

The project was fully funded, ensuring no upfront costs for the housing association or residents. This initiative forms part of Grŵp Cynefin’s broader commitment to environmental responsibility and supporting communities by tackling fuel poverty. By harnessing renewable energy, the project has helped optimise energy use across the housing portfolio while promoting sustainability and energy independence.

The collaboration reflects how strategic partnerships and investment in green technologies can drive meaningful impact, enhancing the quality of life for residents and contributing to a greener future for North Wales.
