Mechanical Installation for 5 New Build Social Housing Properties
Installation Summary
JM Renewable Solutions (JMRS) were appointed by the main contractor (WD Stant) to install the mechanical requirements for 5nr new build properties in Maesteg, Wrexham. The properties are all semi-detached and would be heated by a 5KW Mitsubishi air source heat pump with an accompanying 170L hot water cylinder. The heat is distributed around the house via K2 radiators, all have been sized sufficiently to cater for the lower flow temperature of the heat pump and the room’s individual heating demands.
No mains gas was available in the area and the client (Wales and West Housing) were eager to pursue a low cost and eco-friendly alternative. This will save the tenants approximately 50% on their annual heating bill against oil or another fossil fuel based alternative.
JMRS also installed all the necessary pipework, sanitary ware, hold and colds, guttering and other external plumbing features.
