8.5kW Air Source Heat Pump Installation, Rhes-y-cae

Introduction

We recently finished a project in Rhes-y-cae, a quaint village nestled in Flintshire, North Wales, involving the installation of an 8.5kW Mitsubishi Air Source Heat Pump in a newly constructed property. This project aimed to provide sustainable heating solutions to the property while ensuring optimal energy efficiency. The Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump, renowned for its innovative design and superior efficiency, was selected for its ability to deliver A+++ performance, thanks to advanced technologies and the use of R32 refrigerant. Additionally, to complement the heat pump system, a 250-litre Kingspan Aerocyl heat pump hot water cylinder was installed, guaranteeing reliable hot water with minimal running costs.

Methodology

The project commenced with a comprehensive assessment of the property’s heating requirements and energy efficiency goals. Upon careful evaluation, the team at JM Renewables devised a bespoke solution centred around the Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump and the Kingspan Aerocyl hot water cylinder. Detailed plans were drafted to ensure seamless integration of the heat pump system into the property’s infrastructure, considering factors such as space availability, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact.

Installation

With our plan in place, the installation phase commenced, led by JM Renewables’ team of experienced technicians. The Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump, featuring a single fan outdoor monobloc design, was expertly installed to maximise its performance and longevity. The unit’s cutting-edge technologies were optimised to harness renewable energy efficiently, minimising the property’s carbon footprint while ensuring consistent heating throughout the year. Simultaneously, the Kingspan Aerocyl hot water cylinder was fitted into the property’s plumbing system, to transfer energy from the heat pump to the stored water.

Outcome

Following the successful installation of the Mitsubishi Air Source Heat Pump and the Kingspan Aerocyl hot water cylinder, the property in Rhes-y-cae now enjoys sustainable heating and hot water. The innovative features of the Mitsubishi Ecodan Heat Pump ensure that the property maintains comfortable temperatures while significantly reducing energy consumption and associated costs. The inclusion of the Kingspan Aerocyl cylinder guarantees a reliable hot water supply, further enhancing the property’s sustainability credentials. Overall, the project demonstrates our commitment to delivering cutting-edge renewable energy solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, while contributing to a greener future.
