Cilcain Primary School

Overview

Cilcain Primary School, located in the village of Cilcain, partnered with JM Renewable Solutions Ltd to replace their outdated oil boiler with renewable energy sources. Our team of experts proposed a solution that included the installation of two 14kW Mitsubishi Air Source Heat Pumps, a 20kW solar PV panel system, and Tesla battery storage.

Installation

The installation took two weeks to complete, during which our team worked closely with the school to ensure minimal disruption to their daily operations. The old oil boiler was safely removed, and the new air source heat pumps were installed in its place, providing 100% of the heating demand for the school.

The solar PV panel system, with its 20kW capacity, was installed on the roof of the school. This system will generate clean and renewable energy, reducing the running costs of the air source heat pumps. The solar panels will also help to reduce the carbon footprint of the school.

To ensure uninterrupted power supply, we installed a Tesla battery storage system. This will store excess solar energy generated during the day, which can be used during power outages or periods of high energy demand. The battery storage system will also provide additional savings to the school by reducing their reliance on grid electricity during peak demand times.

Outcome

JM Renewable Solutions Ltd ensured that all safety regulations were met during the installation process, and all necessary approvals were obtained from the local DNO. The removal of the oil boiler and installation of renewable energy systems has greatly improved the environmental efficiency of Cilcain Primary School.
